"Hey Alfreda Hitchcock, I've got a story that you need to write." Now mind you, I receive suggestions for story lines all the time and many of the ideas I do get from others I really like - and it sends me into tail spin and flurry of ideas. But what I think is funny about the text from my brother is that he is also a well respected published author too! Yes, he has several books that are out and like his big sister, has several more in the works. So my first thought is 'if the story is so great, why doesn't he just write it himself?'
Needless to say, he phoned me later this morning to give me the rundown of what the story line is and as he said, "this is your kind of story, not mine."
Of course, just with other great story lines I have gotten from others in the past, my mind began to immediately race as to how to bring this story to life. I have been playing around with some cover designing - evidence of my lack of patience to wait for a real artist to put it together - and came up with what I think are two really great cover ideas. Quandary, you ask? Well, now I don't know which one I like the best. I have gotten split votes on the few people I have shared this with so that didn't help either.
So what I thought I would do is put both covers here and let you help me decide. Maybe if I stew on them for a little while and with your help, I can make a decision. In the meantime, I've got a story to write!
