So I thought, what better way to move some of these projects from unfinished to finished is to get on writing schedule and stick to it. Well, that has been working out fairly well, and I have gotten a few things checked off of my long list of things to do. So today, I have some writing time scheduled, right? I open my "writings folder" on my computer and it seems like it takes a full minute to unfold all the contents held within. I wait and begin to scroll down the list of unfinished things to do after the opening process finally comes to an end.
Well, immediately I started to feel a little overwhelmed looking at the list. Then logic kicked in and said, "ok Deidra, just take a few items from this list that you can move from unfinished to finished in the shortest period of time - and oh by the way, consider some of the older things that have been sitting for a while."
You know, logic is fine but it is certainly not always helpful. After mulling over logic's suggestion for little while, I finally made a decision - well two decisions. One - I would get The Candy Man - a short story completed - thinking move over quickly from unfinished to finished. And Secondly, in response to logic's other point, I selected A Letter to My Mother as a project that needs to be completed.
To decide today which one to work on, hell, I just flipped a coin and A Letter to My Mother won! So now I am going back and reading what I have written on this story. Still not sure how long of a project it will be - short story - novelette, novella; but I am writing... (now I have to get back to it :) ).
